If an ad names no pay, we display an estimated annual gross range. Take it as a pointer, not as the employer's number. The following explains where it comes from.
Why we do not cite an official salary statistic
No verified, published Austrian pay dataset is wired into this feature. We therefore do not present figures we cannot vouch for as official statistics. The estimate rests solely on a language model's general knowledge of typical pay levels in Austria, not on any particular survey.
How the estimate comes about
A language model is shown the job, employer, sector and career level and asked to derive a plausible gross annual range, relying on its general knowledge of the Austrian labour market rather than a cited source. If it has no sensible basis it may decline; the field then stays empty instead of passing off a guess as a data point.
What the estimate is not
It is neither the employer's offer nor a promise, just a rough guide. If the ad states a salary, we show only that one and no estimate appears.
